Finally home

Figured I'd take one last picture of the display in the van. It's
actually supposed to be warmer tomorrow. We could only hope.

i just checked the local temp it's 12 here. i think once you get below freezing it's all sucky. course i don't think i've even been in negative temps so maybe i'm wrong about that?

terri: Did I see 30's next week?

Melisa: I believe this is an ice age. We will need to remember what warm is to tell stories to the grandkids someday.

nonna: You feel the bite below zero. When it's this cold, you feel it and it's a lot colder then in the 20's. In the 20's, I can go without a hat and leave my jacket undone. At -19, your fingers are numb within in a minute or two. It's 10 minutes to frost bite. You actually have to feel it to believe it. This goes beyond feeling cold.

Brrrr. Your arctic blast has made its way to Ohio. We are only supposed to get to -7 but with windchill it will be much colder. There will be no school today! WooHoo! Can't wait for the heat-wave that Terri is forcasting.

At least you're used to it!

If we went that low, the whole country would shut!

Hell we can't cope with fallen leaves on train lines here!

Bad Momma: Minnesotan will always be willing to share. It's Minnesota Nice.

FOF: It is a moment of great pride. We don't make the news for shivering. It's just expected.

Tismee2: Actually, you never get used to it this cold, we just know we are getting one or two of these a year and prepare for it. I suppose most places don't have strict building codes that make sure we bury the water mains so many feet below ground. It does take ginormous disasters to bring this part of the world to it's knees. I could be because we are numb from the shoulders up.

Hey! Look everyone! Current temp is -1!!!!

Oh dear God, that is just not right. There are parts of my body that would fall off in that temp.

We're expecting Santa Ana winds and temps in the high 70's.
