Talking 'bout my generation

I love reading and hearing people completely screw up the lyrics to songs. Heck, from my youth, we had all kinds of alternative lyrics for songs. Who really sang, "Come on feel the noise, girls "ROCK" your boys." I'm pretty sure that's not what I heard in the gym during a dance in Junior High.

This morning, at the breakfast table, OhPrincess2 decides to show how well she can sing the song "I love rock and roll" from Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

"I love rock and roll, let's put another dime in the juice box baby!"

I guess we sing what we know.

That's awesome! She's part of the juice box generation, alright.

Mine was 'waltzing Matilda' - according to me he was waiting till 'his billy bonged'.

I was actually quite old when I realised it wasn't.

I always sang "Girls rock the boys" - it never occurred to me it would be anything else - you must have been older than me!

Weaselmomma: yep. We didn't even have juice boxes when I was a kid. Capri Sun just came up with the pouch thing.

Tismee: I might be older then, but I'm also a boy. We really only had one thing on our minds.

Melisa: be sure to rinse it out first :)

terri: THAT IS HILARIOUS! Thanks for sharing that! I hadn't seen that before.

Song lyrics are hard to discern sometimes...I love the juice box line. That's pretty cute. My husband and I were just talking about song lyrics. I'm convinced the song about "Are you ok Annie?" or whatever was based on the CPR dummy, Annie. Ah, the things you talk about in the middle of winter.
